The P7100, my shaking old hands, and a string "tripod"
Feb 25, 2013

I had often read about that simple tricky device (http://www.lighting-academy.com/index.php?id=schnurstativ), but it was only today that I gave it a try. As I'm mostly too lazy to carry my tripod or monopod around, sharp pictures under low light conditions are often a stroke of luck at low ISO settings. Furthermore most churches, museums, and the like don't allow tripods.

Under favourite conditions (these being enhanced by the consumption of a botlle of beerĀ  ) I can hold the cam steady for 1/8 sec at maximum. With the stringpod attached, I was able to slow down to 1/1.3 without producing too much noticeable blur.

Just bookshelves in my study.
