Will a Graphics Card be of Any Use to Me?

I'm getting ready to do a build for home that will primarily be used for photography and generaly family use.  No video editing to speak of or serious gaming.

I'm currently using LR3 (with very ocassional trips into PSE), but assume that I will upgrade to LR4 or future versions of LR if they prove to be compelling.  My monitor is a fairly straight forward HP w2007.

I plan to include an ivy bridge i7 chip to have the best onboard graphics.

Would there be any benefit for adding a graphics card?  Everything I've read appears to point to "no", but this just seems strange.  I'll have ample power to add a graphics card later if Adobe releases a version of LR that uses one.
