Oh, I forgot to answer...the photo was not HDR.  2 things made this photo rich. one, was luck....the clouds that day were so detailed, and not overexposed. Two, I discovered how to use the luminance option, within the HSL Grayscale tool...it will forever be a huge advantage to editing blue skies!!!

In photoshop, in photoshop Camera Raw, you can open up a photo, and use the HSL Grayscale section. Choose the Luminance option, and the amazing thing about this section, is that you can choose individual colors, like blue, green, yellow, etc. and choose to independently boost the saturation. I just discovered this option, and it will forever be advantageous. Boost only blue, or, only green, or, only magenta...

This is the go to tool for blue skies!!!

Are there any other great tools for editing in Photoshop that you can share with others? I know there are so many.

Thanks.
