Reasons Of Picking X20 Over Canon G1 X

The X10/X20 is an excellent camera in its class, very nice and thoughtful design indeed. Nevertheless, I was just wondering. For those who have chosen or pre-ordered the X20, are there any specific reasons you have selected the X20 over the Canon G1 X?

I've just looked at the specs and sample images of the G1 X, and I believe the image quality of the latter will be noticeably higher than that of the X20. The sensor on the G1 X which at 1.5" is quite a bit larger than the one in the Sony RX100 and approaching APS-C level.

I would like to know the reasons why people picked the X20 over the G1 X.

Is it because of the pleasant "Fuji colours" that are different from the G1 X? Or the more intuitive and easy-to-operate controls of the X10/X20? Or it's the lighter and smaller form of the X20? I've checked on the weight and dimensions of the X20 and G1 X and they share an almost similar size. The X10 measures 117 x 70 x 57mm whilst the G1 X measures 117 x 81 x 65mm. Length-wise they are similar, and it's the height and depth of the G1 X that are slightly larger than the X20.

The biggest difference lies in the weight, as the G 1X weighs more than the X-Pro1 despite having smaller dimensions (543g vs 454g). The X10/X20 registers a light 361g.

I would really like to hear your thoughts. The G1 X is a large compact camera, perhaps something like an X100 but with zoom features.

Thanks.
