I don't believe it works that way. The focus points stay in their same location, they don't move. BUT, you'd be using a larger percentage of cross-type focus points, so that might indeed improve hit rate.

Larger percentage how? The arrays cover the exact same area and subject...never mind, your composing different. I forgot.
