It depends on what / why you shoot .

F 4 is fine for a truttle crossing the road in good light . A snake at same time - maybe not .

Which is better - 2.8 w / 2 stop IS or F4 w / 4 stop IS - there again - what are you shooting ?

I am not a fan of bokeh - I want DOF [ the mother behind the bride so I can crop her ]

Get the best lens you can , A 2.8 has better " stuff than an F 4 .
