Princess, you'll probably have to sit this one out.

http://www.facethefactsusa.org/facts/the-asphalts-getting-crowded-video-/

"Drivers log an average of 13,476 miles per year, or 37 miles a day. The number of Americans with driver’s licenses increased 45 percent, from 145 million in 1980 to 210 million".

Lets say, for the sake of discussion, that most of these 37 miles per day are in city commutes, and that the average amount of time Americans spend behind the wheel is about 1 hour per day.

So, we have 250 million Americans spending 1 hour per day behind the wheel, and that gives us 1 death per 10000 people per year.

Now, here is the thought question:

If 250 million Americans spent 1 hour per day, much of it in a crowd, wandering around with a loaded gun, safety off, out and pointing at random people, what would the gun death rate jump to?

When you talk about cars killing more people than guns, this is what you aren't taking into account.
