Blue Skies & X3F . . will the real blue please stand up?

I've been comparing a test shot between various apps on my computer that can open X3F (SD10) files. All at their default settings "out-of-the-box". The sky color varies tremendously - noticeably between those that use dcraw (I have two versions) and those that seem not to, or have applied some color "correction" of their own. I have ACR, SPP, FastStone, Irfan, PhotoPad, dcraw and dcrawA (a version by ArvoJ). I converted the test X3F to jpeg 90% quality in each converter, opened them all in PSE and did a screen capture. This means that what you see below does include my video driver profile, FWIW:

Most striking is the difference between ACR (upper left) and dcraw (lower left). At right it seems that Picasa, contrary to popular opinion, does not use the embedded jpeg (upper right) but probably dcraw (lower right).
And, generally, dcraw shows quite a violet color cast which is not as I remember the scene. SPP seems about the closest from memory.
