That "roadmap" was a prediction that was already overtaken by reality. For example, it didn't show any SLT's to be released this year, which was already proven false. The A77 successor is rumored for end of summer/ beginning of fall.
That´s what I heard and Sony needs to upgrade the A77 with a better sensor concerning high ISO, IMO!

Agree totally. Since acquiring an a99 my a77 (as good as it is in great light!) is getting zero use as a secondary body. I don't like to be stuck with one body & frequent lens changes but that's exactly what's happening now as the 77, sadly, sits capped in the bag, for exactly the point your making. We make choices and decisions in every photographic experience, and since having the a99 I just have a hard time reaching past it for the 77.
