I read your reply with interest, and Masnaghetti's book must be a very good reference as guideline for your scouting of the terroir.  Will ask Umberto if there is a copy somewhere in Cherasco or Bra.

I understand very well the term "nervous elegance"; my mother who ran the wine production and sales before my brother used to call ours a "barolo for the ladies".

Compliments for your choice of medicaments, I am not sure the National Health Service would agree to the cure, but it certainly leaves you in very good disposition even if the cold doesn't go away!
