Complimentary p&s advice for a 5d3 owner...

I bought a canon g15 yesterday at Best Buy and I notice a shutter delay that causes missed shots. Also, when I use a canon speedlite, I notice a delay between pre flash and regular flash. It really makes the camera unusable for me.

I wanted a camera that could shoot raw but fit in my pocket for times when a 5d3, lens, and flash would be inappropriate.

I think our 1.5 year old Sony p&s show is more responsive, but no raw.

Suggestions?
