Bad sample. Mine produces sharper results on my D800.

Yeah, that looks surprisingly bad. Both the D and G should be sharper than that wide-open.

Well I guess I need to swap it for a new one, which the supplier already suggested. I've read a lot about the 1.8G sharpness, so imagine my surprise when I got what I got.
