Does the 7100 forfeit a monitor cover?

Nikon does a good job of hiding small features in the way they design but this one really makes me wonder. Of the D7100 presentations and video introductions, the monitor cover appears to be missing. I'd hope not but I'd be a bit dubious regardless of what they claim with material resilience. Scuffs can show on glass too and they've upped the display size. Nikon covers have always been a nice feature.

Small issue but I don't like splinters either.

Oh! Well, no rush. My 7000 is doing fine... and it does have one. Please post a correction if you know otherwise.
