Yes but you have to be careful in good light not to use a shutter speed to slow otherwise camera cannot solve for the ISO.

Killer combination for me would be Av + Auto ISO with min shutter speed command assigned to rear wheel I cannot imagine anything faster and this. I shoot RAW so I d rather have this on rear wheel than exposure compensation (than can be assigend to quick menu).

Canon can you do this with a firmware???
