I wonder if Canon will release the 7D2 sooner with the D7100 announced

6 raw buffer in 1 second is useless for sports/wildlife

Didn't stop you from buying the T4i. Guess you should have bought the 7Dc instead.

If you're going to pay twice the price over rebel, then at least give it 15 RAW frames before locking up

The buffer is the achilles heal of D7000 and D7100.

My T4i is my Oly omd - so I can carry three to events, -- one of which may be 7dII

With Expeed 3 it might clear pretty fast with a Class 10 UHS-1 but certainly not fast enough for really fast action sequences. I wonder if Nikon locked it down to set up sales of a D400. Would be like them

Agree- it will be interesting to watch the launches and the timing

In my opinion Canon won the 5d3/D800 match by launching an overall better pj gem

maybe Nikon waits for Canon's approx. $1800 7dII to launch and then they try to trump it with a D400 launch in this price range.

Canon needs to trump the D7100 with a launch of a $1200 70d with 15 RAW buffer, and compelling feature set.

Canon should continue to be targeting soccer moms and birders - with the 70-200 F4L IS + extender or 70-300 L and cameras that have 15+ RAW buffers.

If I were Canon I'd launch a $899 T5i rebel with 8 RAW buffer that would also trump the slow Nikon D7100.

Here is Canon's chance to Launch and Advertise their dominance in producing better action cameras that aren't crippled by Achilles heal limiting buffers - all they need to do is improve their crop sensor by at least 1/2 + stop to bring it to within a stop of 5d3 at high iso - even if they keep the mpxls lower than Nikon - the buffers are what plays the songs - eg, 1dx, 5d3, and no doubt 7dII, and even their 7d, 60d, 70d and hopefully rebel brands well ahead of Nikon
