i see the impact in both compositions in the perspective and sense of space; a message of peace and tranquility in the first and something of an oasis in the second.
however, the loss in detail/lower exposure in the foreground really dampens the mood for me. Can you increase exposure in the foreground so we can see some texture in the ground? this is in both images.
