I still see spots on my D800 after owning it a year, but I also don't shoot thousands of frames. You guys have probably outshot me by a factor of 10 or more, so you've worked through your dust and oil issues. However, I don't find it to be a big deal. I have a wet cleaning kit and it works just fine. In my case, the spot always appears in roughly the same place and the material is not dust and it smears. It's readily visible on the sensor so I know exactly where to go. I'm assuming this is still some kind of oil or lubricant, since it's somewhat tacky and requires a wet cleaning to remove.

No big deal. You don't see me starting threads whining about how my camera must be defective because of sensor spots.
