Aperture or Lightroom for Macbook Pro?

Forgot to add, I'm on OSX 10.6.8.

Apparently this means that Aperture is not an option, as their page says that it requires 10.7.5 or higher.

So hopefully Lightroom will run well on these specs or else I'll be stuck with just iPhoto or something
