Aperture or Lightroom for Macbook Pro?

I've got a Macbook Pro with the following specs:

Will Aperture or Lightroom run well enough on this machine?  Apple, this is one of the reasons why free demo versions are important...  I'm not going to be doing huge numbers of photos.
Are there any good comparative reviews between the two?  I've tried googling but most of the links have one side out of date and they're mostly just name-calling and "why I hate/switched-to/love X" rather than real reviews anyway.
