In my region, ocean beaches are wide, nearly limitless expanses of sand, with grassy dunes on the upslope.  No trees/palms.  So, in my context the notion of planting something like this on the beach with a little fence for protection is novel.

The handcrafted  fence seems well-made by a practiced hand -- sturdy, yet inexpensive, of natural materials.  No platic-coated wire or even machined-wood slats here!

I think the image would be stronger with less busy background -- that wispy stuff on the left is a puzzle.  Fewer things in the frame would give the colors of plant and sea a freer hand to play off each other.

A level horizon would make for a more formal scene, although I'm perfectly happy with the existing casual look.

I liked seeing this picture, and learning that people make such gardens on a beach.
