I agree - but there are situations where holding the camera up to your eye is unsatisfactory or even impossible. Skanter described one, you've mentioned another, and for me it's macro work at low level where an articulated screen would be terrific.

But I'd only want one if it had no negative impact on the usability of the camera for the 99% of the time when I'm using it conventionally - no significant bulk, and no adverse effect on button placement etc.
