Nikon has managed to make quite a splash with the D7100. Good for them. They're trying to advance the ball, unlike Canon, who just seems to sit there.

Will this "kill" the GH3? Of course not. Not everyone is constantly obsessing over specs and chasing the latest hot new thing. A camera is more than the sum of its parts, and the GH3 is--by all accounts--a very well-judged machine. Plus the m43 ecosystem is more rational than the schtzophrenic DX line up. I'd much rather buy into m43 than buy DX and be worried that Nikon is constantly undermining me in an effort to move me into FF.

100% this - m4/3 also seems to 'get' that you don't have to nickel and dime you consumers to death on features that should be integrated in 2013 (wifi module, I'm looking at you).

I have a D90 right now, and am 80% likely to get a GH3.  I think the 12-35 and 35-100 2.8s show that there is commitment to the high-end of the format.  Where is that commitment with DX?  I have a much more solid feeling that m4/3 will be around in 5 years vs. high-end DX.
