I'm hoping there is a D400 as well (or D9000 - or whatever it's called) however, pricing is an issue. Others have stated that there is a "big hole" between the $1199 D7100 and the $2000 D600 but - the price of the D600 come Fall could easily be $1800 and refurbished D600's are being sold at $1600 today. So that doesn't leave much wiggle room for a mini D4/D400.

My concern is that Nikon is saying to it's customers "If you want pro build and pro spec - buy a pro level camera."
