I wonder how many of you want to upgrade to Nikon D1700, please also explain why?

Why am I asking this question? because to me there isn't much difference in D7000 - D7100 except some minor. Share your thoughts;-)

The main reasons I would upgrade from my D5100: the support for legacy lenses, also AI manual focus lenses and the crop factor that I could get out of the 24MP, Microfocus adjustment, and hopefully the image quality. What peeves me is that there does not appear to be a manual focus assist like focus-peaking.

I will wait and read the reviews & study the images. And then at least another 3 Months to see if there are any quality issues with it, like backfocus, oil on sensor, or maybe problematic autofocus issues.

This camera looks good on paper, however I don't understand why Nikon couldn't put an articulated screen on it, I have that on my D5100 and I am very glad I have it whenever I need to use it. Not sure maybe with the wifi connector an Android Phone could be used as auxilary screen & remote control?

Realistically I think it will be November before I make a move, because by then I am sure we will have seen some more major APS-C Camera announcements, also from the competition and because around christmas time I could more easily sell my D5100 as under 1 year used.
