The purpose of samples
In reply to ck15, Feb 21, 2013
the technical quality seems ok...but the photos themself are really awful...there are so many talented photographers around the world....but this are awful snapshots!
"Dear Mr. Fuji, please send me a X100s and you get some normal photos from me"

What info would you get from (heavily) processed images about a camera or carefully chosen peak moment of light when all the cameras are capable to get the shot, due to well lit scene and the lack of harsh contrast?

All the cameras have enough power these days to serve as a starting point for postprocessing needs that everything can be made to look stunning.

But that is not the point, we want to know what are the sensor capabilites of the camera, right? And how it would look if an average user was "snapshotting" under whatever light conditions.
