Hi,

I'm no Ansel Adams to be dishing out advice but from my own experience there is no beating nature. I usually photograph around sunset to dusk. The f2.8 zooms will help you shoot to just before dusk. I understand if you're on holiday with wife and kids in tow, you can't always wait for the right light. That's life and you just have to accept you're not going to get a great shot. I would also experiment at different times to see when it would be possible to get a good shot of a location. You just have to stalk the location and it will also increase your understanding of how light, weather conditions/seasons and composition interact. It will be enlightening...

Thanks

Haider
