Dirt in the XF lenses focus/zoom rings

I do appreciate that Fujifilm has consciously decided to exclusively make the XF lenses exterior out metal but I'm finding that the small slits of the focus and zoom rings are magnets for dirt and dust.

The dirt is an eyesore on the black color and furthermore it's a hell of a task to clean it. I've used  other all metal lenses before but never had such an issue, though personally I would have preferred for these rings to be made of a more friendly to the touch material.

Are you having a similar issue and how do you tackle it?
