Who Uses a DSLR and a NEX?

I think that the OP has found the limitations in his current setup & that a DSLR will enable him to move forward.

He should take time & look at various options but I feel he is on the right track with Nikon. He needs to be sure what lenses & features he requires & then & only then start to construct a new system. He will find a DSLR system more bulky & inconvenient to carry around & satisfy himself that he can live with that. A lot of users here operate with both systems & most hang onto their DSLRs unless they are outdated or too good for their capabilities.
