Full Frame Cameras

I'm trying to understand if Full Frame is the future of digital photography. Do you think 2012 (affordable full frame cameras in 6D and D600 and compact sizes with Sony RX1) were just flashes in the pan or is this really the start of a transformation towards 35mm? Would love to hear your views( I have put together a short survey, and would greatly appreciate it if you could take 2minutes to answer the same).
