I have the 105 f/2.8 VR, should work wonders with D600.

I  shoot raw  in standard mode, always. Then, I open the files in Capture NX2 which reads in camera settings as an starting point.

Yes, I had so much fun at the zoo with the 105 f2.8, it is very, very sharp.

Some spots show up every now and then on the top left corner but  they are not a problem since they can be easily cloned out. I will wait until I hit the 3000 shots mark, then I will clean the sensor.
