You might very well be right, stuntmonkey. The D300s reference was a bit odd, but the rest of the announcement certainly seemed plausible. If indeed there is a release of the D7100 tonight then it has been the best-concealed introduction of a Nikon product in recent memory. I note that NikonRumors is not propagating this "leak" and is standing by their DX compact prediction.
