35mm 1.8 casual portraits - D5100

A lot of talk going around about the 35mm 1.8 prime for portraits.  I tend to use a longer lens when shooting portraits but have been very happy with the results of the 35mm lens for day to day portraits.

I've got tons of examples where I think it performed well.  Was out back having a bbq and snapped a couple pics of my daughter with the D5100 + 35mm combo.
