Removable LCD Screen

With all the posts over time about how the LCD screens articulate or don't articulate enough or at all, what about a removable LCD screen??  On a mid high and high end camera model, why not, at this technological point make the rear screen removable connected with some type of wireless link (preferable) or removable plugin connection cord.  It snaps in and out of the camera for unlimited view angles.  It could control a few of the basic functions of the camera - shutter, aperture, Ev.  If you shut the camera down with it removed from the camera, an alarm would sound.  If wireless, if either the body or the screen move outside a predetermined range an alarm would sound.

It may sound like an accident waiting to happen, but...

It would help me with my interior/architecture photography....
