I am using a lot the Color Efex graduated ND digital filter. However, I must admit that in some cases a normal on camera grad is better because when the dynamic range of a scene exceeds the capabilities of the camera, you cannot recover the details either in the brightest or darkest parts of the image using the digital filter.
