Pentaxians - sell me on the K-30

You are right in thinking that the K30 & K-01 share the same LCD viewing and operation capabilities. A button press on the K30 brings up LCD viewing instantly, making the use of both cameras very simple.

One aspect perhaps overlooked is that with the K30 you have a very deep grip - I think about the best I have ever come across. Thus it can be "finger gripped" very easily ie held at low level, say for a different view point. The shallow angle of view of the screen is really excellent, so framing using a wide angle at low level becomes simplicity itself.

When I want to use my 16-50, I find its far easier with the K30 than the K-01, which I tend to use with primes or my lightweight FA 24-90. Another plus point is that both cams focus the 16-50 & the 50-135 a lot quicker than with the K5 (that I sold)- so another big benefit.

Both cams produce superb IQ, and together make a great pairing, especially at some of the amazing recent prices that have been available - at least in the UK.
