As you know, the Sigmas can do this with pixel binning for their HI, MED and LO image sizes. I used the LO res for a long time until I discovered that the method is, by it's very nature, a simple averaging technique. So these days I am still looking at other down-sizing algorithms.

I do downsize by integer amounts - as I believe you have suggested before - unless the output has to fit something, like I use 640px for my self-hosted eBay shots although I suppose 2268/4 = 567 would work! I think I'll do that in future.
