Clear pictures - help requiered

Iris, it's not that I have blurry pictures, it's more like I have a couple of NON-blurry ones. They are mostly of my beautiful female model. Actualy it's Sam,my cat!! It usualy costs me a portion of chicken per "sitting" LOL. I admit it can be difficult as a beginner [me that is] to determine what is "sharp". I have some excellent advice from this forum, & a lot of the progress I have made in the 16 months I have been taking pics, is down to their advice. To be fair, I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting a lot of yourself. I played golf for a long while, practicing a lot, & I expected improvement, & I got it by hard work & pushing myself. I find photography simillar. You have to learn the basics, & learn them well. There is far more to photography than I realised when I started, but I am enjoying the challenge. Oh, by the way, as I live alone, if you do manage to find a camera that does the housework.............!!!!
