Sony's new lens pricing

I haven't seen price drops or very many sales on Sony lenses, so don't see either of these as very likely relief.  As Sony's DSLR/SLT growth is going to depend mostly on amateurs purchasing, this kind of pricing is going to drove most potential customers away.

I'm not seeing much growth in quality lens offerings from Sony in the price range that will grow their product.  Don't see a great future ahead for Sony in the A-mount market unless some serious changes are made in both pricing and distribution.
