NEX7n to be announced

@Dirk W- I don’t have the NEX 7 (just 6 and 5), my comment was specifically to the NEX 6 AF performance comment. I truly love the NEX 6 (EVF, control wheels, etc) and consider it a major upgrade over the 5. Also, the 16-50 kit lens is very compact which is a big deal. Yes, the kit lens is not a 24-70 CZ by a long shot but 15-60 is about 24-70 on a FF and that’s very useful as a walk around range. Not by choice, the NEX 6 had to be handled quite roughly during this trip (harsh conditions) and took the beating like a champ.

I have the a77 and, at this point, it’s unrealistic to expect the NEX AF system to perform as fast as SLT with 24-70 CZ SSM. I moved from the NEX 5 mainly because the EVF was a must have for me.

@ Hans von der Crone- yep, at this point I still keep my SLR (also because of the lens’ selection available) but quite frankly, if wildlife or action is not a major component of what one is shooting (and I do a lot of wildlife) then my first preference would be towards owning a NEX system (with an EVF)
