Thank you for starting an interesting thread. I'm curious to see where that leads.

However one important thing is missing : a picture of the E-Pm2 before disassembly, another during disassembly : how else can we be sure that the sensor wasn't taken from another camera, if we want a definitive answer ?

Yes that will be good. I think that a definitive answers is still far away. This issue will still lead to more threads, unless Olympus people and Panasonic, make a statement more clear about the sensors used.

Olympus have stated they use a Sony sensor on the OMD. Panasonic said they use Panasonic sensors on their cameras. That both on interviews. It is different if they ask Dpreview or other site or on their own information about who make the sensors, than telling it on an interview.

My opinion from what I read, and from a friend on Panasonic, is that Olympus have moved into Sony (for now) and Panasonic continues to use Panasonic sensors and improving them as we could read on the new sensor with greatly improved colors.

The company to look out for is Toshiba. They supposedly made the D5200 sensor and based on eoshd.com it out performs the gh3 in video!!
