As for image quality, it is going to be a different animal. Fuji needs to fix the raw processor software. Otherwise, X100s users will be in an uproar when they try to process X-trans raws! This will benefit all the rest of us X camera users as well.

I have an X-E1 but not an X100.

Also, I'm guessing the original X100 will become a classic like the S5, for the image quality alone.

I will very much second your opinion.

I have both X-E1 and the X100.  While I will not hesitate to upgrade the X-E1 when the phase-detect autofocus comes out, I will stick with the X100 as it is.

The latest software upgrades improved the operation of the camera sufficiently, and the ability to continue to use LR is invaluable to me.  X100 is already a classic.  Together with the wide angle adapter, it makes an excellent tool.
