Nikon 2-Year Extended Service Coverage not in Florida

florida is a PITA with warranties, and I have regularly been put thru hell due to the joy of living here ;-!

the reason is that if the company does not have a 'presence' in the state they have to post a large bond with the state in order to be able to offer warranties. the law was passed after much much scamming of the elderly by out of state scammers, so there is that.

interestingly leading edge (of incompetence) companies like apple still terrorized me recently even though they now have many stores in the state. it took me 30 minutes and 4 xfers to get applecare for a new ipad.. well i guess the stores have only been open 6 or 7 years now..

I have become a great customer of SquareTrade, if you get a quote (and not the ins) they will shortly (a few days or so) send you a nice 30% off offer and they do not f around on claims. highly recommended.

excuse my tone but this is a festering sore point for me

other than this there are many good reasons to live here.
