Are Nikons made in Thailand now?

What's wrong with "made outside Japan"?

My D200 is badged "Made in Thailand" and it never failed. For some reasons it's still my favorite camera body.

Expensive technology packed in expensive bodies and backed up with top engineers can be produced anywhere.

BTW, D800 QC clearly sucked at the launch...  where was it made?
All together I got 4 D800(e)s, 2 of them needed calibration of the secondary mirror.
