Are Nikons made in Thailand now?

I bought a 26" Sony Bravia HDTV about 6 years ago and paid over $ 1200 for it.  It was made in Japan.  I bought a 32 " Sony Bravia less than 3 years ago and paid between $ 600 and $ 700 for it.  It was made in China.  Picture wise they seem to be comparable.  The 32" is used for a number of hours each day, but the 26 " only gets used about twice a year for 10 days or so.

Today you can buy a lot of the 32" HDTVs for $ 300 or so.  I don't know how long these cheaper ones will last.
