Is working with a DPxM similar to using MF cameras?

I used to use a Mamiya 7 and loved it, esp. the lenses. I wished they would come out with a digital version, but actually the wide angles would not have worked well on a digital sensor. I regard the DPxM as a potential replacement for the M 7, based on some images I've seen posted here.
