I just came from a K-5

I just sold my K-5 kit since I wasn't using it enough to justify two systems.  I had a fairly complete Pentax kit with the DA* and Limited lenses and I was very happy with it, except for size.

I had the Pen and liked it, but image quality couldn't compete with my K20D, or K5.  However, the OM-D comes very close to the image quality of the K5 so I started building up the OM-D kit. The only thing the OM-D falls down on compared to the Pentax kit is action and long/fast glass.  I just picked up the 75-300 and it's nice and comes close to matching the Bigma, but I do lose a little length.  However, size advantage is huge for the 75-300.

Overall, I'm very happy with the OM-D kit as the entire kit is much smaller and more compact than the Pentax kit (and you already know that Pentax makes a small dSLR).  However, there are a few compromises that I'm willing to take.  You have to decide if you're okay with them.  All systems have compromises, and I'm not just talking about quality.  Size and portability is a priority for me, and the OM-D does the best and meeting all my needs with the least amount of compromises for me.  YMMV.
