I got a new long lens. Really long.

My new long lens is shown below (Celestron EdgeHD 11").
It's native focal length is 2800mm at f/10. With a wide converter called a "reducer", it can be operated at 2000mm and f/7. With a 1.4x teleconverter, it's around 4000mm and f/14. I have a full-frame camera and a 1.6-crop camera, so my equivalent focal lengths are 2000mm and 2800mm on full-frame and 4500mm and 6400mm on 1.6-crop.
A scope like this has more than twice the light collection area as the Sigma 200-500/2.8. And if you are really after speed, you can use what's called a "Hyperstar" attachment which will make the set up look really funny (the camera goes on the end shown below looking back into the scope), but the resulting optics are 560mm and f/2.

Now I just need a way to mount it, but the mount (essentially a very heavy duty tripod and motorized tripod head) I want is on backorder.
