No problem with batteries on San Cristobal. Charging was standard 110v power. I'll be curious to know how you feel about the OM-D after using it in person. So many people love this camera, but a few are like "no way man!"  I think it's different enough from what some are used to that you get strong pros and cons. Are you a right eye shooter? I think left eye shooters have a harder time with the OM-D.

What do you think of the K30? It's such a bargain right now that even I'm tempted. It would be lighter than the E-1 or K5/K5ii. I think the K5 is also a deal though since the K5ii came out. The K5 would be a huge leap up from the E-1. I know the K5ii would be slightly better, but the large leap to the K5 from E-1 would be a revelation imo. When I went from the E-1 to E-3, I was flabbergasted by the AF speed alone.
