IIRC, Thom reported that serial numbers 3055XXX and larger were free of the problem. If you can really verify that your camera has the problem, I'd send it back.

Yes, this whole thread seems bogus.
Talked with 3 dealers in Sydney face to face, and all said no problems or returns with D600 or D800's.
Let's get on and over with it ..

Yes the whole thread is about a camera that supposedly had af issues...turns out the op dosent know how to test for af problems and now the camera has no issues when tested correctly...how many other d800 reports are also but people who struggle with the basics
