sRGB vs Adobe RGB and getting 16.7 Million colors (or more)
1

I have some questions about colour.

In photoshop RGB values start from 0 to 255 so total 256 value. That means I can get 256x256x256= 16,777,216 different colors. As I know Adobe RGB (1998) has %35 wider color gamut. So if I understand correctly sRGB and Adobe RGB both has 16.7 million colors. That means sRGB has more smooth color gradiand transicion than Adobe RGB. Is that correct?

Second question is if we can not get more than 256 value for each RGB channel what is the benefit working on 16 bit instead of 8 bit PSD files?

Third questions about monitors. some pro grade monitors has 10 bit rendering and gives biilion colour. However how can I use more than 16.7M color in photoshop than?

Thanks in advance.
